WALKING IN CANBERRA
Joining a regular walking program is a simple
and enjoyable way of life. During summer,
Walking for Pleasure begins walks at 9.30am
on Tuesday and 8.30am on Sundays,
Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Walks
are between one and two hours long. You can
choose walks appropriate for your level of
fitness from the weekly schedule. Walks are
planned for various locations around

DAYLIGHT MODEL RAILWAY GROUP
Ideal for all those interested in building and
running model railways, the club covers all
things model railway-related. Every Tuesday

The first meeting of the Belconnen Day View

FREE PELVIC FLOOR WORKSHOPS
Women of all ages are invited to attend this
free workshop presented by health
professionals from the ACT Health Directorate.
The workshop will provide information,
education and self-help strategies for women
who are experiencing continence problems or

Better Hearing Australia starts the first term of
its Hearing Loss Management classes today. If
you have hearing loss and are having trouble
hearing, especially in noisy environments,
these classes will provide you with all the

AUSTRALIAN RED CROSS ACT
The Red Cross is looking for people who are
willing to share some of their time and
interests with older people to provide
companionship and social interaction. The
ACT branch is particularly looking for people
who are available on weekdays during daytime
hours. Volunteers are carefully matched with a
person, according to their interests, times of
availability and location, personal preferences.

CEREBRAL PALSY ALLIANCE ACT
Save the date for a special dinner raising funds
for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance ACT. In
Australia, a child is born with cerebral palsy
every 15 hours, one in two people with
cerebral palsy are in chronic pain and there is
no known cure. Reserve a table for an
enjoyable evening with celebrity guest
speakers Glenn McGrath, Rodney Hogg and
Sam Kekovich, and help fight cerebral palsy.

Sids and Kids invites Canberrans to take the
Weet-Bix Challenge. Whoever can eat 20 Weet-
bix with milk in the shortest time takes home
